Aloe provides messaging, voice and video calling, social posting, groups, Pages, contact discovery, and related features. Some features may be experimental or available only during testing.
The Service is currently provided free of charge. Internet access, mobile data, and other third-party charges remain your responsibility.
Direct messages are designed to use end-to-end encryption. Public posts and other content intended for an audience are handled according to the audience and visibility choices available in the app. Please review our Privacy Policy for details.
You retain ownership of messages, posts, comments, images, videos, profile information, and other content that you create or share through Aloe ("Your Content").
You grant Aloe a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce, transmit, and display Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service and to provide it to the audiences you select. This licence ends when the relevant content is deleted, except where temporary technical copies, legal retention duties, or content shared by others require limited continued processing.
For content that you explicitly mark as public, you also grant Aloe permission to use that public content to promote Aloe, including in app-store materials, Aloe websites, and Aloe social-media communications. We will not use private messages, non-public posts, or private profile information for promotion.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to share Your Content and grant these licences.

Users can report concerns through Aloe's support features or by emailing us. We may investigate reported public or social content and take proportionate action, including limiting visibility, removing content, restricting features, suspending accounts, or terminating accounts.
End-to-end encrypted message content is not available to us unless a participant chooses to provide it in connection with a report. We do not promise to monitor all content, and moderation decisions do not make Aloe responsible for user content.
The Aloe name, logo, software, visual design, and other materials supplied by Aloe are owned by Aloe or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service as intended. They do not transfer ownership of Aloe's intellectual property to you.
The Service relies on third-party services such as app stores, operating-system services, push-notification providers, maps or location data, and internet infrastructure. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply. Aloe is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.
We aim to provide a secure and reliable Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, security incidents, network failures, testing, or events outside our reasonable control may interrupt the Service.
We may add, change, or remove features where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, technical operation, or product development. We will give reasonable notice where a change materially disadvantages users and notice is practicable.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, fraud, or mandatory rights under product-liability and consumer-protection law.
For ordinary negligence, Aloe is liable only for breach of an essential contractual duty, and liability is limited to damage that was foreseeable and typical when the contract was formed. Any mandatory statutory rights you have as a consumer remain unaffected.
You may stop using Aloe at any time and may delete your account using the in-app account-deletion feature. Account deletion is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access where you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, create a security risk, or where suspension is required by law. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
These Terms are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence.
Statutory rules concerning jurisdiction apply. No exclusive venue is imposed on consumers.
We may update these Terms to reflect legal, security, technical, or product changes. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes through the app or another appropriate channel. If a change requires your consent under applicable law, we will ask for it.
Aloe Chat UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
